Comedian Joan Rivers will be laid to rest in a private funeral ceremony in New York on Sunday, Reuters reports.
No details of the service were released but Rivers once joked she wanted her funeral to be a big showbiz affair complete with Meryl Streep crying in different accents.
The 81-year-old died after suffering a cardiac arrest during a routine medical procedure on Thursday.
The New York state health department is now investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.
