Faroo Live Team: First of all tell us about the start of your music career.
StaJe: I started off a few Years ago as a ghost writer. Did that for a while until just recently when I put out my first project Keisha. Now I have been doing music for years but never put a project out until now.

Faroo Live Team: Who or what inspired you to get into this industry?
StaJe: My uncle Willie Payne Jr aka Kevlar inspired me. He used to open for Cash Money Records back in the day. I really looked up to this man. He was a got in my life and I’m just trying to follow the other he created.

Faroo Live Team: Tell us about your recent release “Keisha”?
StaJe: Ahhhh! First off thank Taylor Maid Production for the track! He gave me this vibe after one of my other studio sessions with him. Truly an amazing talent! The story behind Keisha is actually with a friend of mine. I’ll leave him anonymous but long story short one day he brought this girl to our studio session. She was dope but you could tell she was out there. Well after our session was over we all went out to eat. Got to know her a little more during that time. Since she drank someone had to take her home. Obviously it would be my friend since he brought the girl but she actually stayed near me. I took her home and she invited me in because I had to use the restroom. One thing led to another and next thing I know our clothes are off! Fortunately nothing ended up happening because it just didn’t fit! Literally.

Faroo Live Team: What kind of response have you received from the release?
StaJe: Well before I released the song I let family and friends hear it. It’s typical to get great feedback from family and friends. They support me so I expected that. I didn’t know once it was released I’d reach billboards charts just a couple weeks later. Just crazy and the people really rock with it. Just a great feeling.

Faroo Live Team: What attracts you more, Working in studios or performing on stage?
StaJe: Performing on stage! I look at the studio like “training”. A boxer trains for months before the big fight. That’s how I look at this. I’m just training and vibing in the studio. Making my feelings be felt over the mic. But when I’m on stage I just go blind! I don’t see anyone or anything. I just feel. Hints why my name is StaJe. I’m a performer.

Faroo Live Team: What’s the best part of being a music artist?
StaJe: Meeting artists who can help you become a better artist. Don’t get me wrong we can all help one another. Just a different way that artists help other artists. We think differently, you express differently, and we have an overall different approach in delivery. It’s just a great experience to be in the studio creating with another artist. You just pick up on things that are hard to put into words but it’s felt.

Faroo Live Team: Have you set any goals to achieve?
StaJe: I’m old fashion with this. I’m constantly setting goals. I have daily goals and weekly goals which helps me achieve monthly goals. My next goal is to be in the top 20 on the global charts! We are in the top 100 right now. Just would be crazy to be alongside the Drakes, Dababy, Lil baby, The Weeknd and so on.

Faroo Live Team: Are you working on any new project?
StaJe: We are releasing Keisha music video on the 14th of August. I will be releasing another single shortly after. Definitely excited about this one! Backstory is crazy.
