If you like laughing and eating and traveling, the Trip movies should be right up your alley.
The Trip to Italy, in theaters now, takes English funnymen Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon to the Mediterranean for a culinary tour. USA TODAY’s Claudia Puig recently called it “a delightful romp” and gave it three stars out of four.
It’s a sequel to 2010’s The Trip, which was a condensed version of a BBC series (as is The Trip to Italy). In that first film, Coogan and Brydon tour the English countryside, eating gourmet meals and exploring historic sites as they go. Hilarity ensues, along with a few thoughtful reflections about life choices and reaching middle age.
