Director Michael Bay is at it again with the newest installment in the Transformers franchise called Transformers: Age of Extinction that comes out this summer. This fourth film in the series is sure to include plenty of explosions, and it will also feature two more Chevrolet vehicles–the Chevrolet Sonic and Chevrolet Trax–in addition to the previously announced Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and Chevrolet Camaro models.
Like it did in the first three Transformers films, the Chevrolet Camaro will be reprising its role as the Autobot that transforms into Bumblebee. In this new movie, though, the yellow Bumblebee Camaro will gain a companion in the new, green Chevrolet Corvette Stingray that will be featured as the Autobot called Crosshairs. Two other Chevrolet Camaro models—a modified vintage 1967 Camaro SS and a futuristic concept Camaro—will also make an appearance in Transformers: Age of Extinction.
It’s not just Chevrolet’s performance cars that will be featured in this new movie, though, as two of the brand’s compact offerings will also show on the silver screen. A Chevrolet Sonic rally car was built under GM supervision specifically for the movie, and the new Chevrolet Trax compact crossover will also make an onscreen appearance.
