The news comes just after one of the busiest weeks at Essex TV, one it seems surprised even them as at one-point access to the website was down, an inside source stated this was due to some server issues which have since been resolved.
Reaching this milestone is no small feat and rumours are that the occasion was well, if not briefly, celebrated before the team got back to work with new heights set to reach. Matthew Martino, chief executive was heard saying to the team “things just got serious”, and the channel shows no signs of slowing down.
Essex TV can now prove that it’s strategy is working and that it has the community’s support and engagement. A new company reaching these figures in such a small space of time is all but unheard of. No doubt everyone in the office there will be experiencing the buzz for a while.
Joe, from Colchester, a long-time viewer talked about his excitement for the channels coming months. “It’s one of those things that just wasn’t there and then suddenly was, and now, I couldn’t imagine my life without it. I love that it’s giving power to independent producers and at the same time not making quality suffer for it. I wish the whole team well for the future, I’ll be keeping an eye for sure.”
Who knows how far the channel will go, and whether it scale its strategy as its viewers grow, theoretically there are few issues as Essex TV’s broadening selection and easy access ensures that there will be something for everyone at any time that they want it, which is a key part of the appeal. Individuals can consume the channel on the go; over breakfast, on the commute or as they go to sleep, and no doubt this has helped in their growth.
Mirroring Joe’s words; this is definitely something to keep an eye on.
