New local channel Essex TV seeks sports personalities to feature on their channel as their creative team prepares to introduce over 100 hours of sports programming a year.

The new consortium backed channel which launches on the 28th of April will focus on local current affairs, entertainment and have a wide selection of films and TV series for viewers to watch. The new wave of content being brought onto the channel includes features of reality stars from Essex.

Creative editor Simon Phetter has told us ‘We are keen to boost our sports output by the end of the year and we believe that sports can be entertaining whilst uplifting to viewers and this also allows us to keep our pledge of putting local talent on the map.

‘Essex TV’s creative operation is being spearheaded by the very experienced Alin Stacescu formerly of Romania TV. Stacescu has spoke of his desire to boost young creatives and nurture talent all throughout the southeast.
