SIDNEY — Live entertainment at this year’s Applefest kicks off early Saturday morning, Sept. 6, at 10 a.m. with the 12th annual Applefest parade in downtown Sidney. Immediately following on the Applefest main stage will be the traditional opening ceremonies led by the Rev. Phil Chilcote and accompanied by the Sidney Civic Band and Combined High School Bands performance.
Saturday’s live entertainment continues at 2 p.m. when The American Kings take the stage to perform their special brand of 50s and 60s Rock N’ Roll. At 3 p.m. local favorites The Loafers return to Applefest with their collection of Classic Rock, Motown, and Pop Music favorites. Christian Music artists Salah & Shekinah perform at 4:15 p.m. followed at 6 p.m. by the Soul, Pop, and Classic Hip Hop sounds of the Jared Mahone Band. Appearing on stage at 8 p.m., the blues never sounded so good as performed by the Eric Jerardi Band who will close a full day’s lineup on the Applefest main stage.
One on the bands on the main stage Sunday, Sept. 7, will be Muleskinner Band at 2 p.m. performing their special brand of Bluegrass and Gospel music. Others will be scheduled as well so those interested are encouraged to check the Applefest website at www.ShelbyApplefest.com for the latest updates.
